Vedran is a proven AI engineer and manager with over 8 years of experience in the financial sector. Since joining UBS in 2021, he has focused on delivering enterprise-scale AI solutions.

Vedran leads a cross-functional engineering team and manages a portfolio of AI and MLOps products. His expertise lies in scaling technical teams and defining product strategy within the strict regulatory and security frameworks of Tier-1 banking.

With a PhD in Physics, Vedran combines a rigorous technical foundation with deep expertise in AI architecture, MLOps, and advanced analytics.

  • Built and scaled a cross-functional team to approx. 20 software engineers, DevOps, and ML engineers.
  • Defined product vision, architecture, and strategy for a portfolio of 7 interlinked AI and MLOps products.
  • Within 1 year delivered central AI Model and Agent Registry (AI MART) compliant with UBS’s highest data confidentiality standards.
  • Enabled secure onboarding of 3rd-party open-weight models from HuggingFace into UBS.
